A Quiet Summer Walk

Around the corner from our house is a lovely walk amid fields of flowers and crops. Today’s post is simply a quiet walk along a country road.

Sunflowers!
The spool is for irrigation hose.
An almond tree along the way.
We’re in the heat of mid-summer. Some fields of grain have already been harvested.

The time that the sunflowers are alert and facing the sun is relatively short. Then they bow their heads and start to dry out.

Oleander is a popular summer hedge around here.
